How We Approach Retirement Education
Every programme at Tuah Wealth follows the same underlying principle: financial knowledge becomes useful when it is connected to your actual numbers, your family situation, and your realistic expectations of what retirement in Malaysia will cost.
Assess
Each programme begins by helping participants understand their current position — EPF balance, existing savings, monthly obligations, and the gap between where they are and where they need to be.
Learn
Structured sessions introduce the concepts, regulations, and tools relevant to Malaysian retirement — in language that does not require a finance background to follow.
Plan
Participants leave each programme with a written, personalised retirement plan they have built during the sessions — not a template, but a document specific to their own situation.
Foundations of Retirement Income
A gentle introduction designed for working professionals between 40 and 55 who want to begin thinking carefully about retirement without feeling overwhelmed. The programme covers EPF basics, the Private Retirement Scheme landscape, and how to read and construct a personal cash-flow statement. Sessions run as weekly two-hour evening classes with printed workbooks delivered to the learner's home in advance.
Understanding your EPF Account 1 and Account 2 — current rules, access conditions, and how dividend accrual works over time
Introduction to the Private Retirement Scheme — how it complements EPF, eligible providers, and contribution options
Building a personal cash-flow statement — mapping income, fixed commitments, and discretionary spending in retirement terms
One private review session with a CFP instructor to discuss your specific numbers and initial questions
Building Your Retirement Roadmap
An intermediate programme for learners who already understand EPF and wish to develop a structured, written retirement plan. The curriculum moves through unit trust diversification, dividend income strategies, healthcare cost forecasting, and step-by-step retirement budgeting. Case studies are drawn from Malaysian households. Workshops are available in both Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya.
Unit trust diversification for retirement — fund categories, risk profiles, and how Malaysian platforms compare
Dividend income strategies — structuring income streams from investments to supplement EPF withdrawals
Healthcare cost forecasting — projecting medical expenses over a 20-30 year retirement using Malaysian data
Three private consultations with a licensed financial planner, plus quarterly check-in support for one year after completion
Comprehensive Retirement Planning Programme
A thorough six-month programme for individuals approaching retirement within the next decade who want a carefully considered plan covering income, healthcare, estate, and family obligations. Includes monthly evening seminars, a dedicated CFP advisor for the full duration, a tax-efficiency review with a registered tax agent, and an estate planning consultation with a partnered hibah specialist. Participants receive a hardbound personal planning binder and continued access to all course recordings.
Comprehensive income planning — mapping all sources across EPF, PRS, investments, and any passive income arrangements
Healthcare and long-term care planning — insurance review, hospitalisation cost projections, and family care considerations
Tax-efficiency review with a registered tax agent — examining current financial structure for retirement tax implications
Estate planning consultation with a hibah specialist — wills, hibah, and family asset transfer aligned to Malaysian law
